Black Fungus
• Scientific name: Auricularia auricula; commonly known as wood ear mushroom
• Dark, ear-like shape
• Rich in carbohydrates, amino acids, and trace elements
• Low in fats, high in fiber and loaded with vitamins and minerals
• Contains a large number of functional nutrients, such as polysaccharides, melanin,
polyphenols, and flavonoids
• Used s a traditional Chinese medicinal mushroom since the 19th century for treating
